Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team in a hybrid setup, blending remote work with three days per week from our offices in Kraków, Wrocław, or Gdańsk.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks, while contributing to API design, testing, and distributed architectures within an international Agile team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Hands-on Spring Boot for backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Security for authentication and secure design.
• Experience designing REST APIs following industry best practices.
• Proficiency with SQL databases and data modeling.
• Experience with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Hands-on Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Angular or React with component-based architecture.
• Strong communication and teamwork in an international Agile environment.
• Proficiency in English (B2+) written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java-based backend technologies and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services to support complex business requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and advocate for code quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on maintainability and standards.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
• Work with messaging systems and asynchronous patterns to support distributed architectures.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvement and evolve the technology stack.
