Edvantis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-paced, remote-first team delivering full-stack solutions for a cloud-based research platform. You will focus on data migration and platform enhancements, balancing feature work with tech debt and quality across SDLC.

The role requires strong Java/Spring/Hibernate skills, experience with Snowflake, AWS, and TDD, plus excellent communication to collaborate with Product and QA teams. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing large-scale web apps and services.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate server apps and design patterns.
• Practical experience with Java 8.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Strong unit testing and TDD.
• Understanding of software design and architecture.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Experience with relational database tech.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux.
• Experience developing applications in AWS.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
• English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and maintain full-stack software solutions of moderate to high complexity.
• Estimate work, report progress, raise blockers, and deliver outcomes on time.
• Contribute to design and architecture of systems aligned with target architecture.
• Develop prototypes to evaluate new technologies and approaches.
• Collaborate with Product Management and QA teams across product lines.
• Balance feature delivery with investment in tech debt and platform health.
• Participate in backlog refinement and sprint planning with focus on quality.
