Job summary

EPAM Systems is expanding its engineering team and seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to ship Python/FastAPI backend and React/TypeScript frontend features. You will work with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Databricks to improve integrations and performance.

You will implement APIs, optimize queries, and own product features in a fast-paced startup-style environment. Hybrid work arrangement with potential remote work within Poland and opportunities to work abroad.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience with Python, FastAPI, and SQL.
• Comprehensive expertise in web apps, API design, and integration development.
• High-load database handling and query performance optimization.
• Experience with TypeScript and React, plus willingness to work full-stack.
• Hands-on exposure to GenAI engineering tools, ideally Claude Code.
• Effective communication skills and proactive execution, able to operate independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver without constant direction in a fast-moving startup environment.
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher.

We are building a new product across multiple clouds and are hiring a Senior Full-stack Developer to ship Python/FastAPI backend and React/TypeScript front-end features. You will work with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Databricks while improving integrations and performance.

Requirements

• Proven 5+ years of production experience with Python, FastAPI, and SQL
• Comprehensive expertise in web apps, API design, and integration development
• Strong capability in high-load database handling and query performance optimization
• Experience with TypeScript and React, plus willingness to work full-stack
• Hands-on exposure to GenAI engineering tools, ideally Claude Code
• Effective communication skills and proactive execution, able to operate independently and as part of a team
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver without constant direction in a transparent, fast-moving startup environment
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher

Nice to have

• Solid experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Storybook, Playwright, Radix UI, and Zustand
• Experience with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, and related tools
• Background in data engineering with PySpark and SparkSQL
• Client-facing experience
