Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Principal FPGA/Prototype Design engineer to work with the Design Validation team, ensuring ASIC designs are fully validated. You will collaborate with design, verification, and software teams to accelerate hardware integration and post-silicon support.

The role emphasizes building robust FPGA prototype platforms, retargeting flows, and release-qualified emulation solutions in a fast-paced space tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in FPGA prototyping, emulation, or digital verification.
• Experience with FPGA implementation tools and timing closure.
• Experience developing/verifying RTL in SystemVerilog or Verilog.
• Experience defining FPGA prototype or emulation flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ASIC to FPGA retargeting flows with constraints.
• Deliver FPGA prototype platforms across configurations and releases.
• Qualify emulation platforms for release and test coverage.
• Reproduce and debug prototype and emulation issues with teams.
• Build portable environments spanning RTL to silicon.
• Support post-silicon bring up using pre-silicon bench and sims.
• Accelerate software development via prototype releases and notes.
• Support internal platform users with triage and tech assistance.
