Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior FPGA/Prototype Design Engineer to work with the Design Validation team to validate ASIC designs and accelerate hardware integration. You will develop FPGA prototype platforms and retargeting flows, and collaborate with design, verification, and software teams across pre-silicon and post-silicon stages.

This role requires hands-on experience with FPGA prototyping, emulation, SystemVerilog, and build automation, in a fast-paced spacetech environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of FPGA prototyping, emulation, or digital design verification.
• Experience with FPGA implementation tools, flows, synthesis, constraints, timing closure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ASIC-to-FPGA retargeting flows with resource and timing considerations.
• Deliver FPGA prototype platforms across configurations, top levels, and releases.
• Qualify emulation platforms for release and assess test coverage against simulation.
• Reproduce and debug prototype/emulation failures with design/verification teams.
• Build portable platform environments spanning RTL to silicon, pre-silicon to post-silicon.
• Support post-silicon bring-up using shared bench and simulation platforms.
• Accelerate software development and hardware integration through prototypes and documented limitations.
• Provide triage and direct technical assistance to internal platform users.
