Job summary

Luxoft in Warsaw seeks an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to enhance security, reliability, and modernization of banking applications. You will lead hands-on engagements across DevOps, SRE, and test automation, often coding 70% of the time, improving CI/CD, containers, and observability.

The role demands proactive coding, debugging production systems, and collaborating with client teams to deliver measurable improvements and sustainable engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering with production-grade coding and configuration
• Proficiency in Java/JVM and Spring ecosystem; TypeScript for Node.js projects (preferred)
• Experience upgrading runtimes, frameworks, and libraries; secure coding practices and dependency risk management
• Ability to lead complex technical engagements, communicate with stakeholders, and coach engineers

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted engagements addressing security, testing, release, resilience, and legacy tech challenges
• Assess code, dependencies, runtime, test coverage, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and risks
• Write, debug, review, and enhance production-quality code and configurations
• Define modernization and remediation plans with priorities, risks, and outcomes
• Develop tests (unit, integration, contract, deployment smoke) and automate them in CI/CD
• Containerize apps with Docker and support deployment to OpenShift
