Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead hands-on engagements with banking application teams, addressing security, automated testing, resilience, and rapid release cadences. You will define remediation approaches, implement changes personally, mentor engineers, and help client teams sustain improved engineering practices while coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering with production code contribution required.
• Expertise in Java/JVM and Spring; TypeScript skills valued for Node.js projects.
• Strong experience with TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD integrations.
• Secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and dependency risk management.
• Upgrading runtimes/frameworks, container platforms, and Linux environments.
• Proficient build tools (Maven/Gradle/NPM) and advanced Git workflows.
• Solid observability, production debugging, and distributed-systems knowledge.
• End-to-end project ownership with effective client communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted engagements addressing security, testing, release, resilience, and legacy tech challenges.
• Assess code, dependencies, runtime, test coverage, CI/CD, observability, and operational risks.
• Write, debug, review, and enhance production-quality code and configurations.
• Define modernization plans with priorities, risks, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop unit, integration, and deployment tests using TDD across projects.
• Drive automation testing approaches and AI-assisted development practices.
• Containerize applications and support OpenShift deployments; improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure secure coding practices, data masking, and vulnerability remediation.
• Establish repeatable deployment architectures with resilient design.
• Lead workshops and communicate decisions, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
