Job summary

Nordea Bank Abp is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to design, build and scale AI applications embedded with business units. You will translate complex problems into ML solutions, drive production deployments and ensure ethical, responsible AI practices.

You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product stakeholders across multiple European locations in a hybrid work setup, contributing to Nordea’s ambitious AI agenda and secure data handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on AI/ML in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for deploying AI/ML services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale AI applications from concept to production.
• Translate business problems into ML formulations with teams.
• Develop ML models and agentic solutions for business use cases.
• Explore emerging AI methods and explain insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers and product teams.
