Job summary

SHEIN is seeking a seasoned Fire Protection Engineer to design and develop fire protection systems for production and warehouse facilities. You will prepare technical documentation, collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with building and fire safety standards.

• 5+ years of experience in designing fire protection systems for production/warehouse facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building and fire safety regulations and standards.
• Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken).
• Experience with large-scale investment/construction projects and diverse responsibilities.
• Ability to work with engineering tools and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fire protection systems in line with regulations and contract requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and calculations including specs.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams for design, verification and implementation.
• Analyze building and fire safety regulations to ensure compliance.
• Review analyses and evaluate alternative fire protection solutions.
• Support deviations and alternative design approvals within fire protection.
• Monitor regulatory changes to keep designs current.
• Provide support during project execution, commissioning and operations.
• Organize and conduct fire safety training and evacuation drills.
• Select, maintain, and operate fire protection equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Design and develop fire protection systems and components in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
• 2. Prepare technical documentation, reports, analyses, and engineering calculations, including technical specifications.
• 3. Cooperate with clients and multidisciplinary teams in the design, verification, and implementation of fire protection systems.
• 4. Analyze and interpret building and fire safety regulations, ensuring that all designs comply with applicable requirements.
• 5. Review engineering analyses and evaluate design solutions, including alternative fire protection systems.
• 6. Support the approval process for deviations and alternative design solutions within the field of fire protection.
• 7. Monitor changes in regulations and standards to ensure that design solutions remain current and compliant.
• 8. Provide support during project execution, commissioning, and operational phases, as required.
• 9. Organizing and conducting practical fire safety training sessions and emergency evacuation drills
• 10. Selecting, maintaining, and operating required fire protection equipment

Job Requirements

• 1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of fire protection systems and working within production and warehouse facilities.
• 2. Higher technical education (e.g., Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field) or Fire Protection Inspector qualifications supported by valid certifications/licenses.
• 3. Fluent Polish and English, both written and spoken.
• 4. Excellent knowledge of building and fire safety regulations, as well as fire protection system design principles, with the ability to independently apply relevant standards and industry best practices.
• 5. Experience in large-scale investment/construction projects and flexibility in approaching a diverse scope of responsibilities.
• 6. Strong communication skills and excellent organizational abilities.
• 7. Experience working with engineering tools and the MS Office suite.
