Job summary

Hitachi Europe Ltd. is seeking a dedicated financial accounting professional to manage general ledger tasks for European countries and ensure month-end closes are accurate and on time.

You will collaborate with treasury, FP&A and controllership teams to drive process improvements and standards across the region. The role requires a strong foundation in IFRS/J-SOX, SAP, and Excel, with a hands-on delivery mindset and a multinational mindset.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance
• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting
• Working knowledge of IFRS and J-SOX
• ACCA or CIMA would be an asset
• Fluent English
• SAP knowledge would be an asset
• Computer literate, MS Office, especially Excel
• High level of accuracy / attention to detail
• Practical, hands-on mentality, strong delivery attitude
• Experience in multinational sector preferred
• Continuous Improvement mindset and experience
• Team player attitude

The Role (Remote)

The purpose of this role is to perform financial accounting activities for European countries.

The role will be responsible for General Ledger accounting and month end close activities and ensuring its compliance with Accounting Policies, J-SOX and Internal Procedures.

The role will interact with Finance Managers, Hitachi Treasury Center, FP&A and Controllership teams, Finance Global Business Services teams, external and internal auditors.

The role is also responsible for identifying continuous improvement initiatives to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
