Job summary

Antal is seeking a Senior Statutory & General Ledger Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team in a dynamic, international environment. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting for European entities with emphasis on Poland, ensuring tax and regulatory compliance and driving process improvements.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of multi-entity experience, strong Polish regulatory knowledge, and proficiency in SAP or NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in a multi-entity and/or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of Polish statutory accounting, VAT, and Corporate Income Tax regulations.
• Familiarity with accounting requirements in at least one other European country (e.g. Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, or France).
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting.
• Experience working with external accounting providers and auditors.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and well-organized, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI solutions within Finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting for European entities, focusing on Poland and selected EU countries.
• Ensure compliance with Polish accounting, VAT, and CIT regulations, while supporting statutory requirements in other European markets.
• Prepare and review VAT and Corporate Income Tax returns.
• Coordinate external accounting firms, tax advisors, and auditors across multiple countries.
• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support statutory and group audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Treasury teams on cross-border accounting matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
