Job summary

InPost Group is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to own and scale the Pay domain’s engineering organization. You will drive growth across payment, checkout, and sales products, leading multiple teams and building leadership pipelines while collaborating with Product and Business stakeholders.

A strong Java/Spring Boot and cloud background is essential for setting technical standards and delivering at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and technology leadership.
• Experience managing Engineering Managers and multi-team organizations.
• Hands-on background as a Software Engineer with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud environments (Google Cloud a strong advantage).
• Ability to define standards, SDLC processes, governance, and operating frameworks.
• Able to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and scalability of technology teams supporting payment, checkout, and sales products.
• Lead an engineering organization of ~24–25 engineers across 3 teams.
• Develop Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineers; build leadership pipelines.
• Establish and maintain technical, architectural, and delivery standards across the domain.
• Shape technology strategy with Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure high-quality delivery at scale.
• Identify bottlenecks and remove obstacles affecting product development.
• Define and drive the domain's AI adoption strategy to boost productivity and quality.
• Promote responsible AI, measure impact, and drive governance and ethics.
• Lead data-driven decisions by defining and monitoring KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, and metrics.
