Job summary

Capgemini Polska is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery for strategic software development and digital transformation programs delivered to international clients. You will oversee from pre-sales handover to delivery, transition and closure, ensuring business outcomes, client satisfaction and commercial performance.

You will lead large cross-functional teams, manage governance, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations, and drive AI-enabled solutions from opportunity

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT delivery experience including several years leading complex software development projects for external clients.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale software initiatives in international environments.
• Strong experience managing end-to-end delivery ownership, governance, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience leading end-to-end AI and GenAI projects from discovery to deployment and adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software development projects for international clients, ensuring business, financial and delivery objectives are met.
• Own project scope, budget, profitability, timelines, risks, and delivery quality.
• Manage large multidisciplinary teams including PMs, delivery leads, architects, BAs, and engineering teams.
• Act as the primary client contact for leadership and key stakeholders, building trusted relationships at operational and executive levels.
• Drive governance, reporting, escalation, and decision-making across complex engagements.
• Lead resolution of critical delivery challenges, commercial risks, staffing issues, and client escalations.
• Identify opportunities to scale and industrialize AI-enabled solutions with sustainable delivery models.
• Support business development, estimations, proposals, and transition of new opportunities into delivery.
• Oversee team development, performance, staffing, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Your role

As a Senior Project Manager you will take full ownership of end-to-end delivery for strategic software development initiatives and digital transformation programs delivered to international clients. You will be accountable for successful execution from pre-sales handover through delivery, transition, and closure, ensuring business outcomes, client satisfaction, and commercial performance.

Working in a multicultural environment with English as key communication language. You will be lead large cross-functional teams and serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. You will drive delivery excellence across complex initiatives involving custom software development, AI-enabled solutions, automation, and data-driven products, while managing governance, scope, budget, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

This role requires a highly experienced delivery leader capable of independently handling complex and challenging engagements with minimal supervision.

• Leading end-to-end delivery of complex software development projects and programs for international clients, ensuring achievement of business, financial, and delivery objectives.
• Taking full accountability for project scope, budget, profitability, timelines, risks, dependencies, and delivery quality.
• Managing large multidisciplinary teams, including Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Architects, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for client leadership and key stakeholders, building trusted relationships and managing expectations at both operational and executive levels.
• Driving governance, delivery frameworks, reporting, escalation management, and decision-making processes across complex engagements.
• Leading resolution of critical delivery challenges, commercial risks, staffing issues, and client escalations.
• Identifying opportunities to scale and industrialize AI-enabled solutions by translating business needs into sustainable and repeatable delivery models.
• Supporting business development activities, delivery estimations, proposal preparation, and transition of new opportunities into delivery.
• Management activities, including team development, feedback, staffing, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Your profile

• Very good understanding of principles and processes related to software development/SDLC.
• 10+ years of experience in IT delivery, including at least several years leading complex software development projects for external clients.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale and business-critical software development initiatives in international environments.
• Proven experience in a client-facing role with external clients in a project delivery management role.
• Strong experience managing end-to-end delivery ownership, including project governance, budgeting, forecasting, commercial management, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Proven hands-on experience leading end-to-end delivery of AI and GenAI projects and initiatives, from opportunity assessment and discovery through production deployment, operationalization, and business adoption, including managing teams developing AI Agents and enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of AI delivery lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Understanding of how AI solutions can be scaled and industrialized within enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex escalations, conflicting priorities, and challenging stakeholder environments.
• Exposure to AI transformation programs, innovation initiatives, or implementation of AI-enabled business solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

• Formal people management experience, including career development, performance management, recruitment, workforce planning, and mentoring
• Experience with MLOps, AI governance, Responsible AI, and AI operating models
• Experience participating in pre-sales, solution shaping, estimations, and commercial proposals.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent certifications
• Experience in the public, defense, energy, or highly regulated sector
