Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer with Java and Calypso experience to join their team. The project is in the banking industry.

Skills and Requirements:

• Functional understanding of asset classes across the full scope – Front Office, Back Office, Accounting, Settlements, and others – combined with hands‑on Calypso development experience.
• Strong skills in Java and SQL.
• Practical experience with Calypso APIs and customization.
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, or Spring Boot.
• Experience with MQ, messaging, confirmations, and payment flows.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Support implementation teams – Provide knowledge and problem‑solving support to teams implementing functionalities, including general application testing, checking that developed programs work as designed and are free of bugs, error reporting, and discussing business requirements, functionality implementation, system integrations, and proposed solutions and technologies.
• Support system commissioning – Provide knowledge support and assistance in the commissioning of computer systems developed with designed information technologies.
• Present system functionality – Deliver presentations of system functionalities, indicating how they work in a given system.
• Own technical documentation – Define and maintain technical documentation for computer systems and the processes for their implementation, integration, configuration, and standardization, including preparation of test cases and scenarios, recording of test results, and incident reporting.
• Execute testing – Execute manual tests based on test scenarios and report detected defects.
