Job summary

JOY Studios is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and reliability practices. You will work hands-on within an SRE-guided framework, collaborating closely with the CTO and system architect to balance automation, governance, and security across partner deployments.

The role emphasizes high-ownership, scalable, cloud-native solutions in a regulated gaming context, with a focus on preventing outages and optimizing costs across regions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform, or SRE-adjacent roles.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of SRE concepts and incident response.
• Some experience with distributed systems or message brokers (NATS, Kafka).
• FinOps experience is a plus.
• Degree preferred but not required; experience matters.
• Action-oriented with cross-functional collaboration.
• Owner mindset: autonomous and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Support a rapidly increasing number of isolated deployments across partner integrations.
• Design scalable deployment pipelines for multi-tenant environments.
• Maintain high reliability and availability with failovers and rollback readiness.
• Balance automation, governance, and security in a regulated gaming environment.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Implement SRE practices to reduce toil and improve observability.
• Lead incident response and blameless postmortems with follow-ups.
• Collaborate with leadership on platform improvements and cost awareness.
