Job summary

Zeely Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our AWS/GCP infrastructure, scaling our multi-cloud environment and CI/CD stack. You will shape long-term architecture, drive IaC with Terraform, and optimize cloud costs while ensuring reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on commercial DevOps experience.
• 5+ years of practical experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, SQS, S3, OpenSearch).
• Strong Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting (preferably EKS).
• Advanced Terraform experience (modules, state, multi-provider).
• Hands-on GCP experience (BigQuery, Compute Engine, data pipelines).
• Strong Linux, networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience with production infra ownership, monitoring, alerting and incident response.
• English at Upper-Intermediate/B2+ and Ukrainian for day-to-day internal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize AWS infra (EKS, RDS, SQS, S3, OpenSearch) for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Scale GCP environments supporting AI services and data pipelines.
• Maintain infrastructure across Cloudflare and Hetzner where applicable.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code with Terraform across clouds.
• Maintain and improve Kubernetes-based production environments with high availability and autoscaling.
• Refine monitoring, logging and alerting for better incident response.
• Implement and improve APM and observability tooling.
• Ensure high availability under growing workloads.
• Develop multi-cloud infra strategy with focus on AWS and GCP.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
• Optimize cloud costs with FinOps practices while maintaining performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incidents.
