Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work in a hybrid model from Warsaw. You will partner with software developers, architects, QAs, and operations to optimize delivery, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and design scalable infrastructure.

The role requires strong scripting skills and deep experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration. Responsibilities include managing containers, VMs, logging, monitoring, and ensuring security and reliability across systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development, build automation, delivery and deployment.
• Experience with AWS and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, configuration management and cloud platforms.
• Proficient in scripting with Python, Bash or Groovy; Git proficiency.

Job Description

This position requires to visit customer office in Warsaw few days each month

• Partner closely with software developers, architects, QAs, and operations to
  optimize software delivery and enhance developer experience,
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines,
  
• Script repetitive tasks and develop self-service tools for developers,
  
• Design and manage infrastructure,
  
• Implement and manage containers, run and manage VMs,
  
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting,
  
• Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, build automation, delivery and deployment,
  
• Experience with AWS
  
• Very good understanding of concepts like CI/CD, GitOps, configuration management, cloud platforms, version control, automation, monitoring,analytics, containerization, and microservice architecture,
  
• Proficiency in coding in at least one scripting language (preferred: Python, Bash, Groovy)
  
• Experience in code collaboration and proficiency in Git,
  
• Experience in container orchestration in Kubernetes,
  
• Deep knowledge and practical experience managing Cloud infrastructure (OCI is a huge plus),
  
• Experience running and maintaining Linux VMs
