Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a DevOps Engineer to improve reliability, scalability, and automation of cloud-based production environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high service availability in a modern cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities include managing production systems, implementing SRE practices, and advancing CI/CD, observability, and automation. Hybrid work with Kraków office is available, English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Production Support, or related role.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability for large-scale systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and automation tools.
• Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and related tools such as ArgoCD, FluxCD, or similar solutions.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash or Go.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach.

Job description

Our IT Operations Competence Center brings together over 700 specialists delivering IT services for more than 400,000 users across 3,200 locations worldwide. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a strategic project, where you will be responsible for enhancing the reliability, scalability, and automation of cloud-based production environments. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high service availability and operational excellence in a modern cloud ecosystem.

Your tasks

• Ensure the stability, performance, and continuous availability of production environments and business-critical services.
• Support the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering practices, including observability, incident management, and service reliability metrics
• Deploy, maintain, and optimize containerized solutions running on Kubernetes-based platforms
• Enhance and support CI/CD processes to improve software delivery efficiency and reliability
• Drive automation initiatives by developing scripts and tools that reduce manual operational effort
• Work closely with engineering, testing, and operations teams to identify improvements and resolve technical challenges
• Participate in operational support activities, including incident troubleshooting and on-call duties
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and post-incident analysis

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Production Support, or a related role
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions used in large-scale systems
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools used for automated build, test, and deployment processes
• Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and related tools such as ArgoCD, FluxCD, or similar solutions
• Scripting or programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or equivalent
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with a minimum of 6 days per month from the Kraków office
• Advanced English
