Job summary

Vetric is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Poland. You will drive cloud strategy, migrate from ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS), and own IaC and CI/CD pipelines at scale, while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.

Lead a data-intensive, multi-account AWS environment and collaborate with engineering leadership to set high technical standards across the company, with a Krakow-based engineering hub and flexible interview timing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Infrastructure, or Cloud Engineering with production ownership.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS architectures, networking (VPC, DNS, segmentation), IAM, and scalability.
• Production Kubernetes mastery on EKS at scale under heavy load.
• IaC & automation with Terraform and scripting in Python, Go, or TypeScript; plus Bash.
• Container workloads (ECS/Docker) and modern CI/CD (GitHub Actions) with safe rollout strategies.
• Observability stacks including OpenTelemetry, with reliable alerting and SLOs.
• Collaborative leadership in a high-velocity autonomous team.

Responsibilities

• Drive Cloud & Migration Strategy: migrate ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS) without downtime.
• Advance Infrastructure as Code: design modular IaC using Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Architect Enterprise CI/CD: evolve pipelines (GitHub Actions, OIDC federation) at scale.
• Scale Data-Intensive Infrastructure: manage ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, Redis, RDS.
• Enforce Reliability & Observability: telemetry stacks with signal-driven on-call operations.
• Balance Growth & Governance: tradeoffs for velocity, security, and FinOps cost.
