Job summary

Snatch UP in Kraków is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the infrastructure team, reporting to the DevOps Team Leader. You will partner with engineering leadership to design and deliver scalable, production-grade systems, from architecture through production hardening, across a high-volume AWS environment.

You will migrate ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS), enhance IaC with Terraform/OpenTofu, build enterprise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and OIDC federation, and ensure reliability

Qualifications

• Extensive experience running production AWS multi-account environments.
• Strong Kubernetes experience, including ECS Fargate migrations.
• Proficient with Terraform/OpenTofu for IaC.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and OIDC federation.
• Familiar with data-intensive systems (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, Redis, RDS).
• Strong observability with OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Security-first mindset: least-privilege, zero-trust.
• Senior-level judgment balancing speed, safety, and cost.

Position overview

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the infrastructure team, reporting directly to the DevOps Team Leader. This role partners with engineering leadership to drive advanced infrastructure initiatives end to end, from system design through production hardening, setting the technical bar for operational excellence across the company.

The immediate challenge: a high-volume, multi-account AWS environment with real delivery, scaling, and operational problems to solve along the way.

Responsibilities

• Drive cloud and migration strategy: work under the DevOps Team Leader to architect and execute the migration from ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS) without downtime, while maintaining the existing cloud estate
• Advance infrastructure as code: design and implement modern, modular IaC frameworks using Terraform and OpenTofu for consistent, multi-environment deployments
• Architect enterprise CI/CD: evolve delivery pipelines (GitHub Actions, OIDC federation) at scale, reducing developer friction and raising deployment safety across dozens of services
• Scale data-intensive infrastructure: oversee performance, capacity, and resilience of a high-volume data layer (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, RDS, Redis) and event-driven messaging pipelines
• Enforce reliability and observability: apply org-wide reliability standards using modern telemetry (OpenTelemetry, Coralogix, Grafana), ensuring on-call is driven by signal, not noise
• Balance growth and governance: make high-impact technical tradeoff decisions balancing velocity, least-privilege security, zero-trust access (Tailscale), and FinOps cost efficiency

What we're looking for

• Deep hands-on experience running production infrastructure on AWS, ideally multi-account, high-volume environments
• Strong Kubernetes experience, including migrations from container orchestration platforms like ECS Fargate
• Proven IaC expertise with Terraform (OpenTofu a plus)
• Experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions and OIDC federation strongly preferred
• Comfort operating data-intensive systems at scale (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, RDS, Redis or equivalents)
• Strong observability practice, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or similar telemetry stacks
• A security-first mindset: least-privilege, zero-trust principles
• Senior-level judgment on tradeoffs between speed, safety, and cost
