Job summary

FreeBalance seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to lead architecture, automation, and cloud infra. You will partner with developers, QA, and the infra team to deliver scalable, reliable applications using modern CI/CD, AWS, and IaC practices.

The role emphasizes performance, security, and automation, with a focus on continuous improvement and cross‑team collaboration in a distributed, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or infra for enterprise apps.
• Experience in Agile environments with large, complex apps.
• Advanced AWS infrastructure experience.
• CI/CD automation with Jenkins; Maven build automation.
• Strong RDBMS tooling for backups/restores.
• Git and branching proficiency.
• Automation, debugging, and performance profiling skills.
• Scripting: Bash, Groovy, PowerShell.
• Excellent written/spoken English and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Maven.
• Architect and manage AWS environments for high availability.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of apps and infra.
• Collaborate with developers to define operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues across environments.
• Stay current with DevOps tech and tooling.
• Evaluate new tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in architectural discussions and strategic decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver-secure enhancements.
