Job summary

FreeBalance Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead the architecture, automation, and optimization of deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable and reliable applications.

The role requires deep expertise in CI/CD, cloud architecture, and IaC, with a passion for performance optimization and automation across the budget and public sector platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or infrastructure roles for enterprise-scale applications.
• Proven experience designing and supporting large, complex applications in collaborative Agile environments.
• Advanced hands-on expertise managing and scaling infrastructure within AWS.
• Strong experience administering CI/CD automation servers, specifically Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of build automation tools, highly proficient with Maven.
• Good understanding of major RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) tooling related to backup and restore operations
• Proficiency with Git and branching conventions.
• Experience with automated testing, debugging, and performance profiling tools.
• Knowledgeable in scripting languages: Bash, Groovy (Jenkins), Windows PowerShell

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven.
• Architect and manage AWS cloud environments for high availability.
• Ensure applications and infrastructure are optimized for performance and security.
• Collaborate with developers to define operational requirements and resolve deployment issues across environments.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and architectural trends.
• Evaluate new tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in architectural discussions and strategic technology decisions.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes and practices.
