Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code across cloud and container environments. You will implement Terraform-based IaC, manage AWS services, and deploy microservices on Kubernetes/EKS using GitLab CI/CD.

The role includes leading the Jenkins-to-GitLab migration, automating tasks with Shell and Python, and ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering roles.
• Proficiency in GitLab, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Expertise in AWS, EKS, and Ansible, including Jenkins to GitLab migration.
• Skills in Shell and Python scripting, and Ansible playbooks for automation tasks.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Understanding of infrastructure security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English language proficiency (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage AWS services.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in DevOps and Cloud.
• Ensure code is up-to-date, maintainable, scalable, and secure.
• Monitor and improve system health and performance to maximize uptime and end-user satisfaction.
• Develop, test, and maintain the toolchain and pipeline that enables continuous integration and deployment.
• Collaborate with software developers, operations teams, and other cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and deliver systems and software within agreed upon timelines.
