Job summary

EPAM Systems in Wrocław is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure for a mission-critical financial services application. You will own IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security in a hybrid office setup.

You will collaborate with developers, QA and product teams, mentor juniors, and contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and engineering culture. This role offers Poland-wide remote options and relocation opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
• Linux systems background and shell scripting.
• Azure cloud expertise with Azure CLI and ARM/Bicep.
• IaC experience with Ansible.
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes expertise.
• Python, Bash, Kotlin, PowerShell scripting.
• Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Security best practices understanding.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join a team dedicated to delivering cutting‑edge solutions that drive innovation and efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and creative problem‑solving to support a mission‑critical financial services application.

Please note that this role requires working in a hybrid mode from the office in Wroclaw 3 times a week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC for the Azure cloud platform, including AKS, NSGs, DBs, VMs, etc
• Modernize and optimize infrastructure using best practices and emerging technologies
• Evaluate and integrate tools to streamline processes and improve scalability
• Engineer and implement scalable, reliable and secure solutions (mostly from scratch) to solve day‑to‑day problems and challenges
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA and other product teams to identify bottlenecks and enhance engineering workflows
• Support and evolve the engineering spirit
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to knowledge‑sharing activities

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps with a previous technical background
• Background in Linux systems and administration, shell scripting
• Expertise in Azure Cloud, including Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep templates
• Expertise in IaC tools such as Ansible
• Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and K8S
• Skills in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, Kotlin, PowerShell
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
• Understanding of security best practices
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, troubleshooting and adaptability skills
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• AZ-900 certification
• Knowledge of Terraform
