Job summary

EPAM Systems in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to own client engagements end-to-end, from qualification to value realization. You will orchestrate Sales, Client Partners, Delivery, and Solutions, drive AI-enabled delivery improvements, and maintain strong executive relationships in the insurance sector.

You will lead a team of delivery professionals, manage P&L, governance, and risk, and shape large-scale engagements with a focus on revenue growth and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in IT services, consulting, or digital delivery with a hands-on technology background and technical focus
• Practical, hands-on experience with AI in delivery and AI adoption across SDLC
• Full ownership of mid- or large-scale engagements delivery including P&L accountability
• Proven leadership in client engagement, delivery management and pre-sales across complex, multi-stream delivery
• Experience with MSAs, SOWs, and fixed-price/outcome-based models
• Direct engagement with C-level/VP client stakeholders and strong commercial negotiation skills
• Engagement governance and delivery orchestration across sales, delivery, and operations
• Knowledge of solution architecture fundamentals and software engineering best practices
• Security and compliance awareness in IT delivery (data privacy, ISO/ITIL-aligned)
• Experience delivering insurance domain solutions and familiarity with Solvency II, GDPR and local regs
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+ minimum, preferably C1+)

Join our team as a Senior Delivery Manager and take end-to-end ownership of client engagements, from opportunity qualification through successful delivery and value realization. Acting as the primary link and orchestration point between Sales, Client Partners, Delivery, Solutions, and client leadership, you will ensure commercial commitments are transformed into high-quality execution, long-term partnerships, and sustainable account growth. This role is ideal for a senior delivery leader who can combine commercial ownership, executive client engagement, hands-on delivery governance, and technology fluency with in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry.

We are particularly seeking candidates experienced in the insurance domain, who understand the business, regulatory, and technical landscape of this sector and can apply that expertise from day one.

The position offers the opportunity to shape large-scale engagements, influence account growth, and drive AI-enabled delivery improvements across complex client environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the engagement lifecycle end-to-end — from opportunity qualification through delivery execution and stabilization — with full ownership of outcomes and P&L (revenue and profitability)
• Build trusted relationships with C-level executives (e.g., CTO, CIO), VPs or senior client stakeholders; lead governance, expectation management, and escalations
• Lead presales engagements and own RFP/RFI responses, partnering with Sales and Solution Architects to shape the engagement model, delivery approach, and feasibility
• Lead the deal-to-delivery transition, ensuring SOWs, commercial agreements and delivery plans are aligned and executable
• Manage and grow a team of Delivery/Program Managers and Tech Leads — scaling from leading a single delivery team to overseeing a group of managers
• Establish data-driven delivery governance (KPIs, reporting, escalation paths), mitigate risk and manage scope and commercial evolution
• Drive AI adoption across delivery teams to improve SDLC efficiency and translate AI-driven gains into competitive RFP and proposal narratives
• Oversee architecture governance, ensuring proposed solutions are reviewed, aligned with client requirements and constraints, and meet established quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years in IT services, consulting, or digital delivery, with a hands‑on technology background (software engineering, solution architecture, or technology consulting) and visible technical focus in your management track record; technical certifications are a plus
• Practical, hands‑on experience with AI in delivery — delivering AI-based solutions or driving AI adoption across the SDLC — with a native‑AI mindset that strengthens RFP and proposal competitiveness
• Full ownership — not coordination — of mid‑or large-scale engagements delivery, typically 40–50+ FTE and $5M+ in contract value, including full P&L accountability; experience scaling from leading one delivery team to managing a group of managers
• Proven leadership — not support — in client engagement, delivery management and pre‑sales — including direct ownership of RFP/RFI responses and proposal development — across complex, multi-stream delivery
• Full ownership of MSAs, SOWs, commercial models, and delivery approaches, including scope, margin, and change management; experience with fixed‑price or outcome‑based models is very much desirable
• Direct, regular engagement with C-level/VP (or senior B‑track) client stakeholders; strong commercial negotiation, CSAT ownership, and an account‑growth mindset. From first handshake with the client to scaled delivery
• Engagement governance, delivery orchestration and structured escalation management, with systems thinking that connects sales, delivery, and operations
• Working knowledge of solution architecture fundamentals and software engineering best practices (code quality, CI/CD, testing, tooling, architecture governance)
• Basic awareness of security and compliance standards relevant to IT delivery (data privacy, ISO/ITIL‑aligned practices)
• Experience delivering solutions in the insurance sector (policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, or distribution), with familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, GDPR, local insurance authority requirements) and exposure to legacy core systems and data models
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+ as minimum, preferably C1+)
