Job summary

Our client is an experienced IT company seeking a Senior Datacenter Engineer (Cisco area) to design and lead complex datacenter network deployments across multiple Polish cities. The role combines advanced networking design, hands-on implementation, and technical leadership with opportunities for automation and client-facing engagement.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of deep enterprise networking experience, strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF and overlay networks, and proven IaC automation skills

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proven experience in independently designing and implementing large-scale enterprise and datacenter networks.
• Deep understanding of networking and datacenter technologies beyond standard configurations (BGP, OSPF, ACI, EVPN/VXLAN, NDFC, NX-OS).
• Practical experience in network automation using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, CI/CD).
• Good knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, servers, SAN networks.
• Analytical thinking with a systematic approach; team player.
• Communicative English for vendor interactions and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for network diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive quoting and design of advanced network systems and datacenter solutions (BOM, HLD, LLD).
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale deployments.
• Support critical failures in client environments (L3).
• Implement automation (IaC) into deployment and maintenance processes.
• Mentor colleagues and represent the company in client discussions.
• Participate in on-call rotations as an escalation expert.

Position Description

• Comprehensive quoting and design of advanced network systems and enterprise-class datacenter solutions (BOM, HLD, LLD)
• Acting as a leader and providing technical oversight for large-scale, complex deployments
• Providing support for resolving critical failures in client environments (L3)
• Actively implementing automation (IaC) into deployment and maintenance processes
• Technical mentoring and representing the company in discussions with key clients
• Serving periodic on-call duties as an expert for escalation

Desired Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Many years of proven experience in independently designing and implementing large-scale enterprise and datacenter networks
• Deep understanding of networking and datacenter technologies beyond standard configurations (BGP, OSPF, ACI, EVPN/VXLAN, NDFC, NX-OS)
• Practical experience in network automation using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, working with CI/CD processes)
• Good knowledge of related technologies (VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, servers, SAN networks), enabling design of complete solutions
• Analytical thinking, systematic approach, punctuality, ability to work in a team
• Communicative English enabling smooth communication with vendors and reading/writing advanced documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Visio for creating network diagrams)

Will Be Considered As a Major Plus

• Freedom in conducting technical presentations (presales, conferences) and building relationships with clients" technical teams
• Active expert certifications (CCIE)
• Category B driver's license
