Job summary

ipracujzdalnie.pl is seeking a Senior Datacenter Engineer (Cisco area) to lead complex deployments across multiple Polish cities. The role focuses on designing enterprise datacenter solutions, providing technical oversight, and driving automation initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 4-5 years in similar roles, deep networking knowledge, and hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform and Python. Remote or hybrid work is possible, with English communication required for vendor interactions.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proven experience in independently designing and implementing large-scale enterprise and datacenter networks.
• Ability to design and implement advanced network systems beyond standard configurations (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN).
• Practical experience with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python) and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), servers, SAN networks.
• Excellent English for vendor communication and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and quote comprehensive datacenter solutions (BOM, HLD, LLD).
• Provide technical oversight for large-scale deployments.
• Support critical failures (L3) in client environments.
• Lead automation efforts to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor colleagues and represent the company in client discussions.
• Participate in on-call escalation as an expert.

Senior Datacenter Engineer (Cisco area)

Position Description

• Comprehensive quoting and design of advanced network systems and enterprise-class datacenter solutions (BOM, HLD, LLD)
• Acting as a leader and providing technical oversight for large-scale, complex deployments
• Providing support for resolving critical failures in client environments (L3)
• Actively implementing automation (IaC) into deployment and maintenance processes
• Technical mentoring and representing the company in discussions with key clients
• Serving periodic on-call duties as an expert for escalation

Desired Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Many years of proven experience in independently designing and implementing large-scale enterprise and datacenter networks
• Deep understanding of networking and datacenter technologies beyond standard configurations (BGP, OSPF, ACI, EVPN/VXLAN, NDFC, NX-OS)
• Practical experience in network automation using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, working with CI/CD processes)
• Good knowledge of related technologies (VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, servers, SAN networks), enabling design of complete solutions
• Analytical thinking, systematic approach, punctuality, ability to work in a team
• Communicative English enabling smooth communication with vendors and reading/writing advanced documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Visio for creating network diagrams)

• Freedom in conducting technical presentations (presales, conferences) and building relationships with clients" technical teams
• Active expert certifications (CCIE)
