Job summary

Xebia is seeking a data engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers. You will implement metadata-driven frameworks and reusable components while ensuring data quality and robust testing across enterprise environments.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Databricks experience, strong SQL and big data skills, and a background in cloud ETL/ELT.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Building metadata-driven data processing frameworks and reusable engineering components.
• Developing data flows from landing, Bronze, and Silver layers through analytical consumption layers.
• Creating and optimizing ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data products.
• Implementing reconciliation, data validation, and automated testing capabilities.
• Collaborating with data modelers, BI engineers, platform engineers, architects, and client stakeholders.
• Participating in data quality, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.
