Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will optimize performance, implement HA, and contribute to cloud migration initiatives in a multinational team.

Responsibilities include maintenance, upgrades, backups, monitoring, and automation with Python, Ansible, or Terraform. The role offers a flexible work model within a global, diverse organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration (on-prem).
• 3+ years cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL clusters and tools like pgbouncer, pgpool, HAProxy.
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning.
• Hands-on replication and HA solutions.
• Experience with automation tools Python, Ansible, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for PostgreSQL / MySQL / MariaDB environments (on-prem & cloud).
• Diagnose and resolve performance and availability issues.
• Maintain and upgrade database environments and clusters.
• Manage high availability and replication solutions.
• Perform database migrations (on-prem → cloud).
• Automate DBA activities using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Manage backup and restore processes (e.g. Barman, Networker).
• Support database provisioning and deployments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD / LLD).
