Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will optimize performance, implement HA, and contribute to cloud migration initiatives in a multinational team.

Responsibilities include maintenance, upgrades, backups, monitoring, and automation with Python, Ansible, or Terraform. The role offers a flexible work model within a global, diverse organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration (on-prem).
• 3+ years cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL clusters and tools like pgbouncer, pgpool, HAProxy.
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning.
• Hands-on replication and HA solutions.
• Experience with automation tools Python, Ansible, Terraform.

• Manage backup and restore processes (e.g. Barman, Networker).
• Support database provisioning and deployments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD / LLD).

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our international team. In this role, you will manage and optimise PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB databases across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

You will be working in a multinational environment, supporting enterprise-scale systems and contributing to cloud migration and automation initiatives.

• Provide L3 support for PostgreSQL / MySQL / MariaDB environments (on-prem & cloud)

What We Expect

• 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration (on-prem)
• 3+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Experience with
  • PostgreSQL / MySQL clusters and tools (pgbouncer, pgpool, HAProxy)
  • Database backup and recovery
  • Database installation, upgrades (minor & major)
  • Data migration tools (pgdump, pg_restore, mysqldump, etc.)
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with replication and HA solutions
• Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery) and continuous archiving
• Cloud certifications (Azure AZ-900, AWS CCP, GCP Digital Leader)
• Python certification (PCEP)
• EDB PostgreSQL certification
