Job summary

Digis, a European IT company, seeks a Senior Data Scientist for a remote-from-Poland role. You will analyze complex datasets, build forecasting and classification models, and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production.

You will work with real-time market intelligence data for global agriculture, leveraging ML/DL methods, feature engineering on weather, trade flows, and regional dynamics, while interfacing with CTO and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science.
• Experience with advanced machine learning frameworks and libraries such as XGBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Strong experience with GCP.
• Location— Poland.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex multivariable datasets and identify key patterns and drivers.
• Build forecasting and classification models using statistical, ML, and deep learning approaches.
• Engineer features based on seasonality, weather, trade flows, and regional dynamics.
• Design and maintain model evaluation and backtesting frameworks.
• Assess model uncertainty, explainability, and performance.
• Monitor model drift and continuously improve model quality.
• Prototype LLM and AI-agent use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production.
