Job summary

DataArt seeks an experienced Automation Engineer in Test in Poland to join a small agile team and ensure high-quality delivery. The role reports to the Test Manager and collaborates with SEITs, DevOps, and Data Engineers.

You will design, build, and maintain data and reporting solutions, test integration layer changes, and develop automated test frameworks for ETL, Big Data, API, and database validations. A strong background in Agile working methods is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience validating in data platforms (Databricks).
• Proficient in Python and SQL with hands-on automated testing experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and source control (Jenkins, Git).

Position overview

An experienced Automation Engineer in Test reporting directly to the Test Manager, working in a small agile team alongside SEITs, DevOps Engineers, and Data Engineers to ensure high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data and reporting solutions using modern technologies.
• Test and develop Integration layer changes, ensuring user stories meet quality standards.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for ETL, Big Data, API, and database validations.
• Perform comprehensive test analysis and collaborate across cross-functional Agile teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience with validation in Databricks.
• In-depth experience in developing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) and SQL.
• Hands-on expertise with key test frameworks (BDD, Hybrid, PyTest, Allure).
• Strong skills in Database, ETL, Big Data, and API validations.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and source control (Git).
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and storage technologies (AWS, Databricks, S3, DynamoDB, Delta Lake, SQL).
• Solid background in Agile ways of working.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming technologies (AWS Kinesis, Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK).
• Familiarity with direct query engines (AWS Athena, Presto, Databricks SQL).
• Experience using Jira and XRAY for test management.
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Alert Manager, Grafana Loki).
