Job summary

GFT Technologies SE seeks an senior data platform engineer in Kraków to design and build scalable data platforms, pipelines, and AI-powered practices. You will lead data engineering initiatives, drive scalable solutions for batch and near real-time analytics, and mentor engineers in a regulated, high-performance environment.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in data roles, strong Python and Spark skills, Databricks expertise, and cloud experience (Azure).

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
12+ years of experience in a similar role.
Hands-on experience using AI in the software development lifecycle.
5+ years of experience with Databricks.
Strong expertise in Python and Apache Spark.
Experience with Delta Lake and Delta Live Tables (DLT).
Experience with GitLab and Big Data solutions.
Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures experience.
Proven ability to design high-performance applications with strict NF requirements.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data platforms and data processing solutions.
Lead batch and streaming data pipelines for high-volume data processing.
Drive technical design with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Develop and maintain Databricks-based data solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation practices.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data products.
Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements including high throughput and low latency.
