Job summary

Docplanner is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Platform Team in a remote-friendly role. You will design, build, and operate scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines spanning multiple source systems and cloud services.

You will own architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive automation and AI-assisted operations across the data stack while collaborating with analytics engineers, analysts, and product teams to deliver human-centered data solutions.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience building and operating production data platforms
• “Strong Python and SQL skills with solid software engineering practices”
• Experience with orchestration and cloud data warehouses (AWS)
• Knowledge of data pipelines, ingestion, transformation, and serving data to multiple teams
• Experience with testing, CI/CD, and code reviews for data engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines across many source systems
• Lead architectural decisions on the platform and write proposals that get adopted
• Improve reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency of the platform
• Develop infrastructure in collaboration with Platform engineers
• Collaborate with analytics engineers and data consumers to improve data contracts and tooling
• Mentor other data engineers through code reviews and pairing
• Drive automation and AI-assisted operations
• Interact daily with analytics, engineers, and product teams to ship data solutions
