Job summary

AIDA Recruitment seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team in the banking domain. You will design and improve end-to-end data solutions across AWS cloud and on-prem Oracle DB environments, using Airflow, dbt, and SAP Data Services.

Work is remote across Poland and Baltic States on a 12-month contract; English language required with a 30-32 EUR hourly rate on a B2B basis. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Good understanding of data pipeline tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Working knowledge of Oracle DB, SAP IQ, SAP Data Services, and SAP Business Objects.
• Knowledge of real-time, message-based, and event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Data Products deliveries and Data Mesh/Medallion architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing within a Data Mesh platform.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and SAP Data Services.
• Support modernization and migration of legacy data systems toward cloud-native architecture.
• Ensure data quality, security, and performance across all data workflows.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Perform code reviews, implement monitoring, and resolve data pipeline defects.
• Participate in EOD ROT A rotation, with incident availability until 23:00-24:00.
