Sii Sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a pharmaceutical sector project in Kraków.

You will design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions enabling advanced analytics and global data platforms. Join a team delivering high-quality, data-driven insights across markets. The role requires strong Python development, extensive AWS experience (Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions), and an in-depth understanding of cloud-based data architectures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
• Strong Python development skills with OO design and data processing (Pandas).
• Hands-on AWS experience: Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions.
• Cloud-native, scalable data architectures and pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile teams and fluent English.

About the project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a project within the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support advanced analytics and business decision-making. You will contribute to the development of a modern data platform used across diverse markets and business environments, helping to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions on a global scale.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a modern Data Engineering platform supporting data-driven business processes and analytics


• Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions using modern Python development practices


• Build reliable and maintainable data pipelines following object-oriented design principles


• Collaborate with agile, cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions


• Support platform migrations, enhancements, and integrations across evolving business environments


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing data and processing pipelines

Our requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields


• Strong Python development skills, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data processing with Pandas


• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Step Functions


• Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and scalable data engineering solutions


• Experience working in Agile teams and using modern software development and project management practices


• Advanced level of English
