Job summary

Client Server Limited is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (GCP BigQuery, DBT) in Krakow to drive the data platform for analytics, compliance and AI initiatives. You will own ingestion, transformation and reliability, working within a squad under the Data Engineering Team Lead.

You will build batch and real-time pipelines on GCP, ensure data quality, and contribute to engineering best practices, including CI/CD and data governance in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Production-grade data pipelines on GCP (BigQuery) experience.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming tech.
• Knowledge of DBT and Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns.
• Experience in regulated financial services with data governance, lineage and audit trails.
• Fluent English language skills.

Senior Data Engineer (GCP BigQuery DBT) Krakow to 27,000 PLN p/month

Are you a Senior Data Engineer with GCP experience?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on Data Engineer role at a global FinTech / CFD trading company that has been consistently voted as a top employer.

As a Senior Data Engineer you'll design, build and operate the data pipelines and platform capabilities powering analytics, compliance and AI. Working within a squad led by the Data Engineering Team Lead, you'll play a key role in the GCP consolidation programme, solving complex ingestion, transformation and reliability challenges while helping raise engineering standards across the team.

You'll build robust batch and real-time pipelines on GCP, working with Kafka, BigQuery and Airflow as part of the move towards a Medallion architecture. You'll take ownership of data quality within your area, implementing data contracts, quality checks and observability to ensure pipeline health, reliability and SLAs.

You'll also develop and maintain in-house connectors and third party integrations, ensuring the ingestion estate is resilient, well monitored and maintainable. Alongside hands-on development, you'll contribute to engineering best practice through code reviews, DBT modelling, CI/CD and effective change control for shared datasets.

You'll also help support Data Science and AI initiatives, developing feature engineering and model data pipelines and helping establish AI-ready data through strong lineage, reproducibility and freshness.

Location / WFH:

You’ll join colleagues in the Krakow offices that offer a wide range of facilities and all the latest kit, with flexibility to work from home twice a week.

About you:

• You have strong, hands-on experience building and operating production grade data pipelines on GCP includingBigQuery, with strong SQL and Python skills
• You have experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming / pub/sub technologies, including designing event driven ingestion patterns and troubleshooting real time data flows under operational conditions
• You're familiar with modern transformation tooling, particularlyDBT and have an appreciation of Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture patterns and how they support self-service analytics
• You're comfortable working in a regulated financial services environment, with an understanding of data governance requirements (lineage, access control, audit trails) and the discipline tooperatewithin change control processes
• You have fluent English language skills
