Job summary

InPost is seeking a (Senior) Data Developer to join our Global Network Analytics team in Kraków. You will transform data into a trusted foundation for decision-making, reporting and automation.

The role blends engineering with business context, emphasizing data quality and AI-assisted workflows. Responsibilities include designing ETL/ELT with SQL, PySpark and Python, building data layers in Databricks and Delta Lake, and ensuring scalable, cost-efficient data solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering or data analysis, including ETL/ELT design and data layer creation.
• Experience maintaining production data processes with monitoring, issue diagnosis and data quality.
• Experience with cloud solutions, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks.
• Understanding of Data Lake / Delta Lake architecture and data modelling principles.
• Practical experience with Git and Azure DevOps, managing changes across Dev, Test and Prod.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Advanced English skills for international collaboration.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, proactivity and ability to prioritise under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT processes using SQL, PySpark and Python across source systems.
• Develop data layers in Databricks, Data Lake and Delta Lake for reporting and automation.
• Automate data loading and transformations to improve repeatability and reduce errors.
• Ensure data quality with validation rules, monitoring and incident diagnosis.
• Optimize SQL queries, Spark processes and data storage for performance and cost.
• Provide ready-to-use data to analysts, Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain technical documentation in Confluence covering data processes and lineage.
• Use AI tools as accelerators, with thorough verification before implementation.
