BlackLine in Krakow is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build the data platform behind our AI-powered SaaS product. You will design pipelines, models, and reports used by customers and internal teams to drive decisions worth millions.

You will surface trusted insights via Snowflake and Power BI, collaborating with Staff engineers and Product partners. Expect ownership, modern tooling, and opportunities to grow into technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Snowflake data platform expertise and governance.
• Strong Power BI capabilities including DAX and incremental refresh.
• Experience building production ELT/ETL pipelines with modern tools.
• Expert SQL and Python for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to boost velocity.
• Focus on data quality, observability, monitoring, and testing from the start.
• Ability to own initiatives from unclear requirements to delivered data products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Build and govern robust ELT/ETL pipelines moving data into Snowflake.
• Deliver trusted analytics with enterprise Power BI reports and governance.
• Contribute to Snowflake-based data platform architecture for scalability.
• Champion modern data modeling with modular, well-tested designs.
• Promote AI-accelerated development with tools like Cursor/Claude.
• Incorporate data quality frameworks and automated testing into pipelines.
• Grow technical leadership through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and Finance to translate data needs.
