Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Staff Data Engineer for its Coro data platform. You will own end-to-end design, implementation, deployment, and operation of critical data services, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes scalable architectures, cloud data tools, and continuous improvement through automation. You will partner with Bain's cloud and infra teams to optimize pipelines, security, and performance while delivering reliable data products

Qualifications

5–8+ years in senior technical leadership for scalable cloud data platforms.
Designing and building Python data systems used by multiple teams.
Mentoring engineers and growing engineering teams across products.
Partnering with stakeholders to advise on technical options within time and cost constraints.

Responsibilities

Define architecture for Coro's data platform with long-term scalability in mind.
Lead development of complex components and guide the team through execution.
Own post-incident improvements and 3rd-level technical support.
Direct CI/CD, release management, and operational reliability.
Drive innovation, technical discovery, and tooling improvements.
Mentor engineers and participate in recruiting and interviews.
