Job summary

Talan is seeking a senior data engineer to build governed data products and productionise analytics and AI components. You will design data pipelines on a Lakehouse architecture and ensure governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering in production.
• Strong Python and SQL with software-engineering discipline (testing, code review, CI/CD).
• Experience with cloud data platforms.
• Experience putting analytics or ML/AI use cases into production.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines and data products on a Lakehouse (medallion architecture).
• Productionise analytics and AI components (RAG, agents, model evaluation) and monitor them in production.
• Implement data quality controls, lineage and observability.
• Work with data owners on access, quality remediation and acceptance evidence.
• Contribute engineering options and estimates during solution framing.
