Job summary

Backbase is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, test and deploy data solutions for the Engaging Banking Platform. You will work with Data Lakehouse, Delta Lake and AI-driven insights, ensuring data quality and governance across dashboards, reports and ML pipelines.

You will develop data ingestion from multiple sources (RDBMS, CDC, streaming), create data models, and collaborate with UX and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant data products on AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/Data Science or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering, preferably Databricks.
• Strong Python and SQL programming; Delta Lake expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the workspaces, data pipelines and objects in Data Lakehouse.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion solutions from various sources (RDBMS, CDC, streaming) ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and maintain data-oriented solutions with SQL and Python code.
• Create and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics needs, including AI models.
• Create custom visualizations with UX designers; develop interactive dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions; optimize and troubleshoot issues.
• Document and share knowledge on solutions, including data models, reports and dashboards.
