Job summary

DAC.digital Group is hiring a data-focused engineer to join a strategic partnership with a major German consulting firm. You will build and optimize backend data solutions using Python and SQL, manage deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role supports 100% remote or on-site work in Gdańsk, with opportunities to travel for conferences and events. English proficiency (B2) is required, and agile methodologies guide daily work.

Qualifications

• ELT/ETL experience required for data pipelines.
• Strong Python development skills and SQL proficiency.
• Hands-on with GitHub and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Dagster, BigQuery and dbt is highly valued.
• English level at least B2 and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and manage database structures.
• Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Create and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD.
• Manage deployment workflows for staging and production environments.

As part of our growth strategy, we are starting a strategic partnership with one of the biggest consulting companies in Germany with a strong focus on Data Management. Their clients include major banking, insurance, retail, telecommunications, and automotive brands.

Key information:

• 26 000 – 32 000 PLN net/month – pure B2B contract
• 23 000 – 28 000 PLN net/month – B2B contract (days off included)

It is vital that you have:

• know-how of ELT/ETL;
• strong experience with Python;
• proficiency in using SQL;
• hands‑on experience with GitHub;
• experience with Dagster, BigQuery and dbt;
• knowledge of English (min. B2);
• working in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
• high communication skills;
• eager to learn and share knowledge;
• willing to travel if necessary (conferences, coworking events, etc.)
