Job summary

Bunge Warsaw is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design data architecture and build scalable data pipelines that empower analytics and ML initiatives.

You will work in an Agile cross-functional team, collaborating with analysts and architects to deliver high-quality data products and insights at pace.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in STEM with 3–5 years of Sr/Lead Data Engineer experience.
• Expertise in SQL and data analysis with Python or Scala.
• Experience developing and maintaining data lakes or lake-houses platforms.
• Experience with cloud services and infrastructure in data/analytics using streaming and CDC pipelines.
• Strong data lake / DW development using cloud MPP engines (BigQuery preferred) and various relational, NoSQL, cloud databases.
• Knowledge of data analytics concepts: dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting, governance, DW.
• Experience using GCP portfolio (BigQuery, DataStream, DataProc, DataPlex, DataForm).
• Familiarity with Linux OS.
• Agile processes, data-driven development, reliability and experimentation.
• Experience in a collaborative Agile product team.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in data architecture,data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and a basic understanding of data science techniques and workflows. They are an Agile learner, possess strong problem-solving skills, work as partof a technical, cross functional analytics team, and want to solve complex data problems and deliver the insights to enable analytics strategy. At Bunge, you will be at the forefront of leveraging data analytics and technology to feed and fuel the world in a better, faster, and simpler way. Data Engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build high quality data pipelines driving new data products and analytic/ML solutions. These solutions will generate insights from the organization'sconnected data, enabling the organization to advance the data-driven decision-making capabilities of the organization's enterprise.

Main Accountabilities

• Solve complex data problems to deliver insights thathelps the organization's business to achieve theirgoals .

Requirements

• Post graduate degree in STEM field with 3-5 years of experience as Sr/Lead Data Engineer
• Expertise in SQL and data analysis and experience with at least one programming language (Python or Scala preferred)
• Experience developing and maintaining data lakes or lake-houses platforms.
• Experience with developing solutions on cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space using streaming and CDC pipelines
• Strong Datalake/DW development experience using Cloud MPP engines (BigQuery preferred)and experience with a variety of relational, NoSQL, and clouddatabasetechnologies.
• Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, datawarehousing, structured and unstructureddata.
• Data Engineering experience using GCP portfolio (Big query, DataStream, DataProc, DataPlex and DataForm)
• Familiarity with the Linux operating system
• Passionate about Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation
• Experience working on a collaborative Agile product team.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skills .
• Flexibility to change in work direction as the project develops .
• Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills.
