Job summary

Bunge is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join its Business Technology Data and Analytics team in Warsaw. You will design, implement and optimize large-scale models to solve commercial problems and clearly communicate value to stakeholders.

You will work with fellow Data Scientists and Data Engineers, building scalable solutions, reusable code, and production-ready pipelines. The role emphasizes collaboration across a global team and a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in STEM field or Bachelor degree with a combination of years of experience as in Data Science or Computer Science, IT or a related field
  • Strong foundations in math, analytics and computer science, knowledge of machine learning methods, statistical models, advanced data science programming
  • 3+ years of hands‑on working experience and fluency in Python and SQL
  • Comfortable with scripting language such as bash
  • Experience writing reusable and maintainable code with version control and automation pipelines
  • Ability to transform a project from POC to production
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS or Azure), with preference to GCP services including but not limited to Compute Engine, Big Query, Cloud Run, and Cloud Composer
  • Creative and self‑motivated. Demonstrate drive to learn new skills and solve challenging problems with minimal oversight.
  • Act as a great team player in a global environment, take responsibility to consistently build better solutions both in technical quality and business impact

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and test reusable codebase utilizing data science best practice and supports the sustainability of our technical portfolio

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in commercial analytics to join our growing team. As a Data Scientist, you will be a critical member of the Business Technology Data and Analytics team, responsible for implementing the construction and optimization of large-scale models to solve business problems and communicate the value to the business stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Good understanding of software development best practice, and ability to apply that to machine learning projects, including unit tests, CI/CD integration
  • Experience building and deploying resilient data and modeling pipelines in GCP environment
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terradom
  • Experience implementing Kubernetes and Docker (or similar container engine) solutions
  • Obtained Google Cloud Professional certifications in area such as MLE, data engineer, DevOps engineer
  • Experience working with customer analytics and geospatial data, domain knowledge in global agri‑business and food industry is a plus
