• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies, e.g. Databricks, Data Factory.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering.
• Efficient SQL and Python skills for data processing, transformation, and automation.
• Experience with building and maintaining enterprise data pipelines.
• Understanding of API integrations and cloud-based architecture.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and automated deployment concepts (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git, deployment pipelines).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines within the Sustainability Data Foundation. In this role, you will design scalable data models, integrate data from SAP and sustainability-related systems, and ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, and traceability. You will work with Azure technologies, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL, Python, and CI/CD practices to build reliable enterprise data solutions. The role also involves close collaboration with Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Sustainability stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and optimize data pipelines within the Sustainability Data Foundation
• Design and implement scalable data models (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
• Integrate and transform data from SAP (e.g. FI-CO, BW), Net Zero Cloud, SuccessFactors, EHS and sustainability-related source systems, APIs and external data providers
• Ensure data quality, consistency and traceability for reporting and analytical use cases
• Develop and maintain automated testing, monitoring and data quality controls
• Develop transformations, calculations and orchestration pipelines using Azure technologies
• Support deployment, testing, root cause analysis and incident resolution
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Sustainability stakeholders
• Contribute to documentation, development standards and continuous improvement activities

Professional Competencies:

• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies, e.g. Databricks, Data Factory
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering
• Efficient SQL and Python skills for data processing, transformation, and automation
• Experience with building and maintaining enterprise data pipelines
• Understanding of API integrations and cloud-based architecture
• Knowledge of CI/CD and automated deployment concepts (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git, deployment pipelines, pull requests, environment promotion)

Data & Modeling Skills:

• Experience with data modelling concepts (One Big Table, normalization and denormalization techniques, Data Vault approach, Medallion Architecture)
• Understanding of data lineage and metadata management concepts
• Experience implementing data quality controls and validation rules
• Ability to design end-to-end solutions

Business & Collaboration Skills:

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Apply knowledge of sustainability, finance, or regulatory reporting data – this is considered a plus
• Mentor and guide other engineers by sharing best practices and supporting technical decision-making

Ways of Working:

• Work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments
• Review solution designs and code to ensure quality and maintainability
• Apply a structured and solution-oriented approach to problem solving

Salary range: 20.000 - 23.000 PLN gross monthly.
