Job summary

Sowelo Consulting seeks a Senior Data Architect to design and deliver scalable lakehouse architectures using Databricks across multi-cloud environments. Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data engineering, architecture, or big data platform development.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with strong distributed computing and Spark expertise.
• Demonstrated experience building data platforms with Databricks and major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with DataOps, CI/CD automation, and production-grade pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Translate client business objectives into scalable, secure data platform architectures based on Databricks.
• Oversee complex migrations from legacy warehouses to lakehouse deployments and analytics solutions.
• Design and productionize end-to-end data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud services.
• Prepare technical designs, blueprints, and effort estimates for professional services engagements.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, client engineers, and project managers to ensure on-time, high-quality execution.
• Document architecture and establish best practices to support long-term client self-sufficiency.
