Syncron seeks a Senior Data & AI Engineer to own the data path from raw operational data to ML-enabled features in production. You will design a lakehouse on Apache Iceberg using AWS Glue and Amazon Athena, delivering a governed data feed to Qlik Cloud and AI/ML workloads.

Lead data contracts, metadata management, and DataOps practices while building CI/CD for pipelines and enforcing observability. Hybrid work model offered; global engineering team and diverse product workloads.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional experience spanning data engineering and software engineering.
• Strong experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and data integrations across heterogeneous sources.
• Strong data modelling skills and metadata management, data catalogs, and lineage.
• Experience with data quality and data governance.
• Data contracts, DataOps practices and schema evolution in multi-consumer environments.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization (Kubernetes) and AWS data stack expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build the EazyStock lakehouse on S3 with Apache Iceberg and AWS Glue for ETL/ELT and cataloging, and Athena as query engine.
• Build reliable data integration and ingestion from operational sources.
• Deliver a governed analytical replica for BI and AI workloads, reducing reporting load on production systems.
• Define partitioning, compaction, snapshot and retention strategies; optimize query performance and cloud costs.
• Deliver clean, well-modelled data into Qlik Cloud and AI/ML consumers; establish metadata management, catalogs, and lineage.
• Develop CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure; implement observability and runbooks.
