Job summary

Ciklum is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer in Poland to fortify security across applications and cloud environments. You'll partner with Production Engineering to embed security in the SDLC, review vulnerabilities, and guide remediation across multi-team initiatives.

The role emphasizes automation, security testing, and proactive threat defense with a strong developer mindset and collaboration skills. Remote options may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in application security or similar security roles.
• Expertise in cloud environments and secure development practices.
• Development experience in Python or Go is preferred.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and source control.
• Experience with supply chain security and SBOMs.
• Exposure to container security (Kubernetes) and CI/CD security (GitHub Actions).
• Offensive security background or certifications (OSWE/OSCP+) are desirable.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, CIS, or HiTrust.
• Ability to write detection queries and scripts.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and common attack vectors.
• Experience with SSO platforms (Okta, SAML) is a plus.
• Experience with AWS/GCP/CDN security tools is advantageous.
• Automation scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support vulnerability management for applications and microservices.
• Provide guidance on secure authentication, authorization, and data security.
• Enhance security automation within CI/CD pipelines to detect and remediate issues.
• Monitor and triage alerts/logs from security platforms and third-party services.
• Remediate security alerts, participate in vulnerability response, and report findings.
• Stay current on threats and apply knowledge to improve detection and response.
• Support remediation from penetration testing programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams.
• Maintain security procedures and metrics; contribute to training.
• Drive automation opportunities and adopt best practices for detection and response.
• Evaluate AI/LLM tooling to accelerate triage while preserving human review.
