Job summary

Finom is hiring a Credit Risk Manager to lead the risk framework for SME credit cards and overdraft products. You will work directly with the CRO and collaborate with Product, ML & Data Science, Operations, and Engineering to build risk foundations from the ground up and shape SME lending in Europe.

You will design the data strategy across multi-country signals, oversee underwriting models, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving risk-aware product design across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit risk.
• Hands-on expertise in SME lending and credit cards.
• Strong knowledge of risk governance, policies, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, build, and improve Finom's Credit Risk engine and framework.
• Own end-to-end credit risk framework for credit cards (eligibility, underwriting, scoring, limits).
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed risk into product design and strategy.
• Architect data strategy across multi-country data sources and signals; guide ML/DS in risk models.
• Build and own portfolio monitoring stack and early warning indicators.
• Act as Second Line of Defense (2LoD) ensuring robust origination, monitoring, and collections.
• Own and improve credit risk policies, risk appetite frameworks, and reporting.
• Ensure alignment with EMI / PS4 regulatory requirements and European standards.
